IMM Show Cologne, Germany Jan. 2010
Back to Design
The IMM show took place in
Cologne in January.
As usual, the
most interesting exhibits were put on
by students and new designers.

Here is a collection of images from
the areas that I found especially
interesting.
This is Jungyou Choi, the co-designer of these interesting rocking chairs.
They are constructed from PVC pipes. At a termination point there is a plastic
funnel. You use the funnel to fill the pipes with beans, sand, or some other noisy
material.

As you rock, the material shifts like a rain stick, producing soothing sounds.

A design project from a German
school - make 'carpet' swatches
from unusual materials.

     Metal, wood, seashells, and
other elements are combined to
produce fascinating patterns and
effects.
